To establish an inclusive AI powered computer lab that supports children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties through assistive technology, digital learning tools, and specialized educational support. The project aims to improve literacy, digital skills, confidence, and academic performance among children with learning challenges.
Thousands of children in Tanzania, especially in Arusha, struggle with dyslexia and other learning difficulties such as ADHD and autism, yet many schools lack the tools, trained teachers, and technology needed to support them. As a result, many children are misunderstood, labeled as lazy, or left behind academically despite having strong talents and potential. Most public and low income schools do not have access to assistive technology, specialized learning software.
The project will establish an inclusive AI Computer Lab equipped with computers, internet access, assistive learning software, and AI powered educational tools designed to support children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Children will receive access to interactive learning programs that improve reading, writing, communication, and digital skills at their own pace. Teachers and parents will also receive training on how to identify and support children with learning difficulties.
The project will help create long-term educational inclusion for children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties in Tanzania. By improving access to assistive technology and inclusive learning methods, children will have better academic outcomes, stronger digital skills, and increased opportunities for future employment and independence.Over time, the AI Computer Lab can become a model center for inclusive education in Tanzania, reaching more schools and communities and helping thousands
