This project aims to provide comprehensive support to young people aged 16 to 25 who are interested in training in agricultural professions, as well as to young agricultural entrepreneurs looking to realize and develop their projects. The AJE incubator offers a tailored training program, while the accelerator supports young entrepreneurs from the early stages of their projects through to their successful integration into the local economy.
The AgriStart project proposal for the Saint-Louis region aims to address various identified issues that contribute to the high youth unemployment in the agricultural sector. Major challenges include a crucial lack of agricultural information and resources, a shortage of qualified training programs, difficulties in accessing land and financing, the precarious nature of agricultural jobs, barriers to accessing information and communication technologies.
In response to these challenges, the AgriStart project aims to provide an incubation and acceleration platform to train and support young entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector, bridging the identified gaps in information, training, access to resources, and financial support.
