Empowering Youth, Inspiring Compassion, and Caring for Children
Under the Alkhidmat Volunteer Program, the Dow University Global Scholars Community visited the Alkhidmat Aghosh Home, bringing a day filled with learning, compassion, and care for the children residing at the facility. The visit included a series of engaging and impactful activities that left a positive mark on both the children and the visiting volunteers.
The day’s agenda featured a Hygiene Session, where children learned about the importance of personal hygiene and healthy habits through interactive discussions and demonstrations. This was followed by a Kindness Session, emphasizing empathy, teamwork, and the value of spreading positivity in their daily lives. Additionally, a General Medical Camp was organized, providing essential medical check-ups to ensure the health and well-being of the children.
The visit was honored by the presence of Yousuf Mohiuddin, Director of the Volunteer Program, who shared words of encouragement. Musab Abdul Qadir, Manager of Aghosh Home, and Muhammad Haroon Shahid, Head of the Volunteer Program, guided the visiting students through the facility, offering insights into the work being done at Aghosh Home and the support provided to its young residents.
This collaborative initiative showcased the power of youth engagement and the role of collective action in bringing smiles to the faces of those in need. The Dow University students left inspired, with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and the impact they can create through compassion and service.
Thank you to our generous supporters for enabling us to continue such impactful initiatives. Your contributions help us ensure a brighter future for these children. Together, we can keep making a difference!
