Final Report for Global Giving “Help Afghanistan Children Stay in School”
This will be the final report for "Help Afghanistan Children Stay in School” since Child Foundation has decided to close this Global Giving Project, so that we can start a new project (details available soon).
Overall we are very pleased with the progress our sister company has made in Afghanistan. (We refer to them as Child Foundation Afghanistan but they are also known as the Future for Afghanistan Children Organization.) Many children benefited from our worldwide network of sponsors and donors, and continue to receive the support from these kind individuals.
Two recent success stories of these children make us very proud. The photo below is of a group of Afghani children who, thanks to the support of Child Foundation donors, were able to hold a “theater camp” where they participated in the rehearsal and tour of a small play. They traveled to local villages presenting their story.
This is a photo of Mohammad Ahmadi, a hardworking, talented student currently in 10th grade. He is 18 and lives in a village far from the city. He has been supported by Child Foundation for the past two years. Since then, he has a different outlook on his life and he tries hard to reach the goals and successes he has always dreamed of.
During these years he has been learning English and recently participated in the English Language competition where he earned and was awarded First Place among 9 states in Northern Afghanistan. This is the first time he has achieved this high level of recognition and hopes to continue on this path.
On behalf of FACO Afghanistan/Child Foundation we would like to share this brilliant moment of Mohammad's life and invite you to help him in making a better life for himself and his family. Special thanks to Mohammed’s supporters.
Recently, our ties with Afghanistan have been growing stronger. While Dr. Peyman Raoofi, Child Foundation President was in Washington DC he was able to meet with the Afghanistan Ambassador Ekil Ahmad Hakimi. They discussed the many ways Child Foundation has help the youth in Afghanistan, and also looked to the future to see how this support could grow.

Child Foundation looks towards continuing to help the children of Afghanistan and will continue to appreciate your support. We would like to say a very sincere THANK YOU to everyone who has donated on Global Giving to this project.
