Choice Living Community is committed to creating an atmosphere that will promote and advance services for adults with disabilities in Texas. We have secured a new center to be able to grow and expand these services for our clients and will need to continue fundraising efforts to sustain our project during Covid-19.
There are currently over 800 students with disabilities in Nueces County that will be entering adult life within the next year and will need a place to attend during the day. Although Choice Living is working diligently to close the gap in the number of adults with disabilities that are staying at home, there are still more than 8,000 special needs students that will need assistance once leaving public education.
Choice Living Community will be able to provide continued services for adults with disabilities in our new center that will hold approximately 100 clients. This new center is ADA compliant and we are able to provide more individualized programing for each client.
The project will provide an opportunity for over 100 adults with disabilities to leave their homes during the day and have a structured place to attend and continue to work on their social, life, and vocational skills.
