The last few weeks in Achvat Amim
Dear Achvat Amim Community,
Last week we had an End of Year Alumni call with a couple dozen of our beloved alumni. We are still overwhelmed by the energy and connection that we experienced on that call. We were happy to see so many members of our community all together in one place. If you were on that call, thank you so much for joining us!
As the end of the year is approaching, we at Achvat Amim are getting ready for our next cohort, starting February 2nd. We are very excited about the group of people who will be joining us for 5-months of critical solidarity work and experiential education. As those of you who were on the call heard, it has been an difficult time for our Palestinian partners with increased settler attacks and state violence. We are grateful for our in
Coming group who will be supporting our Palestinian partners through volunteer placements like shepherding, Storytelling in the South Hebron Hills, and working on vcfinancially accessible.
While we prepare for our February 2022 cohort, we are enjoying time with our brilliant, thoughtful, and engaging Justice Fellows. We are in the midst of our second cohort of the Achvat Amim Justice Fellowship, in partnership with Breaking the Silence. The Justice Fellowship is a four-month learning community in Jerusalem where participants explore the complex reality on-the-ground, develop practical skills in community organizing, and engage in solidarity work.
We would like to thank each one of you for your support of Achvat Amim and for being a part of the Achvat Amim community.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!

An Update from the Alumni Sustainer Team

Your sustainer team making those calls!
Hi all!
We are in the final two weeks of our cohort with seven unbelievable, resilient, and creative Achvaters. Last week, they met the new cohort of Midreshset Dror, our Israeli sister program modeled after Achvat. This encounter quickly become one of my favorite Achvat moments— the cross-pollination really solidified for the Achvaters that they are part of a larger movement.
In regards to our alumni sustainer's fund, created and run by a group of our alumni, we've had four new monthly donors (yay!). Every single donation means that we can keep doing what we do, building the movement of self-determination for all peoples.
We love you, we need you. Thanks for having our back.

The new Achvat cohort has arrived!

Hi all,
I am so excited to report that the spring cohort of Achvat Amim has started! After a two-month delay, we have 7 rockstar participants on the ground and ready to get to work! We are in the midst of the opening seminar and orientation week where the new Achvaters are getting to know each other, learning Hebrew and Arabic, and meeting with Achvat’s partners. Soon, we’ll have the opportunity to introduce them to their new city and movement peers. I look forward to keeping you updated once the group gets its footing!
In other news, we just received the wonderful news that every monthly donation made through the Achvat Amim Sustainers Fund will now be matched by one of our supporters. This means a monthly contribution to Achvat Amim will now be DOUBLED!
This fund has become such an invaluable and critical contribution to Achvat Amim's general sustainability and wellness as a solidarity and civil resistance body, and we are so grateful for our alumni who have built and are sustaining this fund! If you would like to become a sustainer, you can learn more here.
Thanks again for having our back.
With so much love and appreciation,
Dana
