Dear Alhassan donors, supporters and believers,

One of the biggest challenges facing the permanent user of a wheelchair is the lack of accessibility in his home that prevent him to carry out his daily activities in a normal manner.

“Accessibility for All” helps wheelchair users overcome the challenges they face practicing their daily activities like going to their schools, workplaces or running their errands independently due to lack of accessibility.

This project aims to offer services like accessible rides and remodeling homes, schools and public places to be wheelchair friendly to achieve inclusion and to enable wheelers to have equal opportunities in work, education, sports, etc.

This is one of the greatest success stories of “Accessibility for all Project”,

Hussam & Mohamed are twin brothers suffer from Muscular Dystrophy, Hussam is 26 years-old who works as an employee at the National Bank while Mohamed holds a BA in Media studies.

They were served through the accessibility project, and their home was provided with an elevator, which allowed them to practice their daily activities normally without any restrictions. We are so proud to have been part of their success and independence.

We want to thank each and every donor or supporter who helps us to achieve this success and we urge you to continue supporting us in our cause, our hope, our dream. You can do that through subscribing to a monthly donation option, which helps us secure more funds to help more wheelchairs users and their families.

Dear Alhassan Foundation’s friends, believers & supporters,

We’re very thankful for your last donations. Your support has a major impact on people with mobility issues lives. “Accessibility for All” helps wheelchair users overcome the challenges they face doing daily activities like going to their schools, workplaces or not being able to leave their houses to start with due to lack of accessibility.

Our project was initially about offering accessible rides for wheelers. These rides represent a convenient alternative to inaccessible public transportation and costly private transportation. We provided tricycles to people who passes the eligibility criteria. This tricycle can be drove by hand and has a place in the back in which wheelchair users can put their chair, secure it and move anywhere with it

This project was then transformed to be “Accessibility for All” and its objective is to offer services like accessible rides and remodeling homes, schools and public places to be wheelchair friendly to achieve inclusion and give wheelers equal opportunities in work, education, sports, etc.

In 2020, we were able to make two schools accessible for kids who were not able to attend their schools and had to be carried around which was not a safe option for the kids or their parents who had to take breaks from their jobs to help their kids. Now these kids are able to move freely around the school’s campus. We also made four homes accessible for wheelers as well as the headquarter of a governmental entity. It’s worth mentioning that the accessibility solutions don’t only help wheelers but they also help elderly people and parents who push their babies’ strollers.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and be a loyal donor through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation which will help securing more accessible transportation for wheelchair users in Egypt. Please visit our Facebook page to read other success stories:

Dear Alhassan Foundation’s friends, believers & supporters,

Thank you for donating to our project! Your support changes the lives of people with mobility issues in Egypt for the better. We delivered three equipped rides in the past three months and they greatly facilitated how wheelers live their everyday life.

Through this project, we offer a private alternative to inaccessible public transportation and costly private transportation by providing tricycles to people who passes all official eligibility criteria. This tricycle can be drove by hand and has a place in the back in which wheelchair users can put their chair, secure it and move anywhere with it.

Also, as one of our efforts to help wheelers in Egypt navigate its streets, we have been working with a software company on making an android and iOS app that has:

1-     A guide of accessibility for the 3 subway lines that has the data we collected about each line.

2-     A guide of the public places around Egypt and the available accessibility means in each.

3-     Rise Up videos: Videos that teach wheelers the activities of daily living.

After we officially launch our accessibility app on the stores we will share the links with you so you can download it and share with us your feedback.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay our enthusiastic donor through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation which will help securing more funds to help wheelchair users in Egypt be physically independent.

Dear Alhassan Foundation’s friends, believers & supporters,

We hope you’re all safe and sound during this tough time.

Nowadays equipped rides are more essential than ever given the COVID-19 global breakout. They represent a decent and cheap solution to the lack of accessible transportation whilst following social distancing measures. Since no one can tell how or when will this global pandemic end, we all need to adapt and find safe alternatives for wheelers to be able to run errands and keep their daily jobs without risking their lives. Owning an equipped ride is like having your own private transportation at very low cost.

In this project, we offer a private alternative to inaccessible public transportation and costly private transportation by providing tricycles to people who passes all official eligibility criteria. This tricycle can be drove by hand and has a place in the back in which wheelchair users can put their chair, secure it and move anywhere with it.

These equipped rides changed many wheelers lives. They facilitated the way wheelers go about their day either going to their school/university or going to their jobs or pursuing different hobbies. Their only way of doing any of this used to be by spending a fortune on daily private transportation which eventually led many wheelers to be homebound.

As for our accessible bus service, it’s temporarily suspended as we need to renew its license after quarantine. It’s also not advised to operate it during this COVID-19 crisis.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay our enthusiastic donor through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation which will help securing more funds to help wheelchair users in Egypt be physically independent.

Dear Alhassan donors, supporters and believers,

Our goal of providing 300 accessible transportations to physically-challenged people in Egypt is coming closer! We delivered 100 equipped rides to 100 physically-challenged men and women that enabled them to pursue their education, hobbies or find decent jobs.

In the equipped ride project, we offer an alternative to inaccessible public transportation and costly private transportation by providing tricycles to people who passes all official eligibility criteria. This tricycle can be drove by hand and has a place in the back in which wheelchair users can put their chair, secure it and move anywhere with it.

One of our beneficiaries whom our project impacted greatly is Abd El-Wahab. He is a 52-years-old man who has a wife and six kids. He applied for the equipped ride project to save the money the spends daily on private transportations to go to his job. After using the tricycle, he felt independent and it boosted him financially as he and his family benefited from the money he used to spend on transportation.

In 2019, we were able to finalize all the paperwork and legalities needed for our accessible bus to be ready to work. We use that bus to transport our employees to and from work, since more than 80% of the Alhassan’s employees are permanent wheelchair users. That bus is also used to transport our sports teams to championships and competitions across different cities all over Egypt.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay our enthusiastic donor through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation which will help securing more funds to help wheelchair users in Egypt be physically independent.
