Amidst worldwide fast spreading Covid-19 all our educational units, also got closed for indefinite period following the govt. order of nationwide lockdown and closure of education institutions. We regret only for this reason we are not able to provide timely reporting.
Also on 20th May, 2000 the severe cyclone Amphan with around 200 Km/ hour gale wind devastated Sunderbans vastly including many of our establishments through which we support to the deprived vulnerable marginalized communities in deep hard to reach Sunderbans.
But we are in consistent touch with all our pupils who mostly belong to financially back trodden families in deep remote Sunderbans. With the opportunities they receive through Access of Knowledge- learning Computers they got an entry to world of dreams – a wider spectrum that is making them confident and strong within – making the timid children competent for the life ahead. Such a case we are giving today here-
Mrinal Kar*, a student of 4th standard in Sabuj Sangha run Model School ‘Kishalaya Sishu Siksha Niketan’ have growing fascinations in Computers. He started learning Computers since last one year as part of his curriculum in the school when he was in 3rd standard.
The Time & Date options, drawing objects and sceneries of villages by the Paints applications, writing down his thoughts in Words application – all attracts him deeply. His father an impoverished Carpenter in the remote village of Sunderbans, who sustain family expenses is overwhelmed on his son’s learning Computers. In his own words, “I can’t express how happy am I. We never thought before, that our son can learn Computers too.”
With the nationwide closure as the school is closed since 23rd March, 2020 Mrinal is little dusheartened and morrows. But he stiil has deep trust that he will draw iin Computers again.
We are grateful all those who continued in our Noble Mission to make the ill-fated marginalized children of Sunderbans become equipped with Computers and be competent for the future world of competitions.
We appeal to all to please extended the message and lend your supporting hands to make the little buds of Sunderbans learn Computers and become fit contenders for all future battles.
Also appeal please extend your hands with these little children whose very hopes were devastated with the fiery storm ‘Amphan’ amidst the continuous nationwide lock down.
