Access to Knowledge through Computer Education

Purnima* Paik a girl of 10 Years studies in Class IV in our model School Kishalaya Sishu Siksha Niketan. She is hails from the village Nandakumarpur village where the school is located. Her father Mr. Brajabhusan* Paik is a daily wage labourer and the lone earner of the family. He earns around INR rupees 4000.00 per month. Her mother Mrs. Pinki* Paik is a homemaker and struggles to meet all family requirements with steep financial hardship.

Purnima’s father feels deeply indebted to Sabuj Sangha for the Model School run by them giving the children of remote Sunderbans exposed to the world of knowledge with all basic modern facilities required. In his words," Kishalaya Sishu Siksha Niketan, the model school run by Sabuj Sangha has given us a great chance to afford education to our child who never dreamt before.”

Purnima* got the opportunity of Computers handling since she is studying in 3^rd standard. It is almost two years now. She knows how to use the every tools of paint application. She can draw different shape in paint application.

Purnima* is now comfortable in M/s Office Word application. She can create folder I n her own name, make her resume and can restrict the access of the folder from anybody’s access with password.

She can handle Screen Saver, Clock time etc. comfortably now. But she gets most excited while surfing various sites through internet. Her eyes became bright with wonder when she can locate her own house and school through Google Maps.

Purnima’s mother expresses her gratitude to Sabuj Sangha in rendering the happiness and assurance in building their daughter’s tomorrow with such wonderful opportunity.
