The Construction sector is one of the sectors that generates the most jobs in Colombia, and is characterized by the majority of male participation. This is a gender inclusion project, which begins to break paradigms in the sector, seeks to highlight and exalt the capacities and qualities that women have in construction. seeks to generate employability to reduce circles of poverty and violence, generating economic autonomy transforming their lives.
Most of the registered women are mothers who are heads of households, they have suffered some type of physical/psychological violence, gender discrimination, race, among others, they also need to considerably improve their quality of life and family economy since the their household income. Being the sector dominated by the male gender, the women who are in this area are discriminated against and the payment is not fair.
We are convinced that education expands borders and connects with all opportunities. Through education from BEING and DOING, it seeks that the beneficiaries are replicators of what they have learned in each of the courses, providing them in the process with tools for the lives of themselves and their families, training them in leadership and at the same time establishing a positive impact on the community and the environment that remain over time and provide tools to access job opportunities.
Our Foundation, through the Mujeres Para Construir project, wants to generate transformation and social inclusion in the construction sector, the formalization of construction work and access to quality and certified training that contributes to the growth of job opportunities for the population. seeking alliances and empowering them for employability or independent development of their work.
