2020 was a year of lessons, possibilities, challenges and opportunities. It taught us how to think outside the box and how important it is not to put all our eggs in our basket. I am happy to report that we have learnt great lessons and already put in practice and we are now seeing the results of this. Due to the effects of the pandemic like we communicated earlier, we changed our focus to the health of our beneficiaries and staff, sustainability of the organization and stakeholder engagement.
We thank you for standing with us since March 2020 to date. We wouldn’t have managed to survive the pandemic, if it wasn’t for your support. With your support we managed to have enough food for the entire team of Rockies, even when we were not working. We were able to have sufficient medication, shelter, and keep the standard operating procedures as described by the ministry of health.
All our twelve candidates were able to go back to school, register for their final exams amidst these challenges and they have now entered their final term to sit for their final National exams starting this March. We are hoping for the best from them.
One of our beneficiaries got an operation of rectal cancer which coasted us almost USD 8000, because of your generosity we were able to go through this challenge and we are happy to report to you that she is now on a recovery process and she is steadily improving. Thank you for painting a smile again on her face.
In other good news, we were able to scientifically host a Christmas show at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel Ndeeba, for the younger stars were missing stage for almost a full year. It was a great experience having the performers step on stage again and also seeing our clients being entertained. We could see their thirsty for entertainment as they had taken so much time without having such fun, but also the enthusiasm of the team. We made a Christmas Party for the beneficiaries, and they swept off the year stress of the pandemic. Attached are a few photos, for you to have a feel of how these events unfolded.
Thank you again for your support, may you be blessed abaundantly.
