This project will establish two integrated community centers in Idlib and Hama to support vulnerable populations affected by conflict in Syria. The centers will provide psychosocial support for children, safe spaces, legal assistance, disability services, and case management. Over six months, the project will directly support 500 people and benefit 2,500 indirectly, helping restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and promote social cohesion among displaced and host communities.
After years of conflict in Syria, vulnerable populations in Idlib and Hama face severe challenges accessing basic services. Children lack safe spaces and psychosocial support, while women, persons with disabilities, and displaced families struggle to obtain legal aid and essential protection services. Fragmented service delivery and limited community resources increase risks, worsen well-being, and deepen social tensions between host communities and displaced populations.
This project will establish two integrated community centers providing a one-stop-shop for essential services. It will deliver psychosocial support and safe spaces for children, legal assistance, disability support, and case management for vulnerable individuals. By ensuring access to coordinated services in one location, the project will reduce barriers, improve well-being, strengthen protection, and promote social cohesion between displaced and host communities.
This project will create a sustainable model for integrated community services, strengthening local capacity and community ownership. Over time, it will improve resilience, mental well-being, and access to protection services for vulnerable populations. By fostering inclusion and social cohesion, the centers will reduce tensions, empower communities, and support long-term recovery, enabling individuals and families to rebuild their lives with dignity and stability beyond the project period.
