The School is aimed to address 3 challenges through education ( Academics, Life Skills & Culture) and work with the community to bring positive change through progressive learning in local rural communities. The Primary school system will be based on human curriculum designed to support the children from low income families receive an international standard learning experience from Pre-K to grade 5; and will create volunteer teaching opportunities for young people from all over the world.
Ashulia is one of the largest RMG workers neighborhood in Bangladesh sheltering more than 100,000 workers. Many of the worker parents had to leave their children in the villages with access to no or little proper education. Due to low monthly wage $40 of the parents, the kids have no option but to follow the parents' path working in industrial setting instead of following their dreams. This project thus will impact both the families and children of that area creating an engaged learning space.
The project will address 3 major areas of learning Academics, Culture and Life Skills allowing the children to grow up being proficient in English, Bangla and in Computer literacy embedded in a human curriculum that will encourage them to become a part of a future global workforce. The school will also be an incubator of growth building after school programs on healthy living, environmental issues, creativity, and career counselling. and hope to become a pilot model for other educational systems
The school will not only help a child to grow up as a conscious global citizen but also provide training to develop effective educators who would be inspired to transform the traditional teaching system that has been aimed to create more workers and followers than leaders and thinkers. It will also contribute to build a healthy and functional community that will practice cleanliness, healthy living and happier community in which kids can grow to their own potentials and gifts overcoming limits.
