BUILD A SCHOOL IN RURAL PERU.

We started classes on march and since then we haven´t stopped working to give the best to our children. We are sharing a great place in a farm with our partner primary school, Kuska. It is a wonderful space surrounded by mountains, trees, water channels and flowers. You can feel the peace and beauty of nature.

"Children are so happy and free here. They enjoy being in contact with the animals and learn how to take care of them and to grow plants. Since my son comes to Yachay Wasi he is more independent and self confident. We all feel like a big family here!", said Luzmila, Marcelo´s mother. 

Luzmila is a single mother of three children. Marcelo is the youngest. He came to Yachay Wasi last year and completed the scholar year. This year Luzmila tried to make Marcelo to attend to another kindergarten which is closer to her house, but Marcelo didn´t like it. He cried everyday and didn´t want to stay. There were many children in his classroom and the teacher couldn´t pay attention to him. Luzmila was not happy either. She did not feel comfortable with the situation and with the other families. After a few days she came to Yachay Wasi asking for a place for her son. Even though all the places were covered, we decided to give Marcelo and Luzmila an oportunity.

She says that in Yachay Wasi she feels supported by teachers and by the other families. She says that Marcelo is happier now and is learning many new things and growing with joy. We are also very happy for this and for all the achievements Marcelo has obteined so far.

We feel that this place is the perfect place for us and for our children. We need your help to make it ours.
