Following the previous phase with positive results, in this phase, our project aim to help at least 100 disadvantaged children in Vietnam, who are INVISIBLE, UNRECOGNISED and LEFT BEHIND by the society, to receive birth certificates in order to access to education, health care, social insurance and other public services. With our support, the rights of these children will be protected.
There are more than 10,000 disadvantaged children in Hochiminh city. More than half of them do not have any personal documents. Without personal documents, they are INVISIBLE and UNRECOGNIZED by the world and have no access to education, health care, and any kinds of social public services. They are ignored and left behind and even denied by the locals. Many street children cannot go to school.
The project will educate disadvantaged children, connect them with the network of social workers, lawyers and local government to get the personal documents and access to public services and development opportunities: (1) educating street children and families to take efforts in getting the personal documents; (2) finding evidences for the children's identity; (3) connecting the network of social workers, lawyers and local government; (4) supporting them with small scholarships.
By helping these children today, you will open A NEW LIFE PAGE for them when they are recognized and identified as citizens of the country and have their own rights to access to equal public services and opportunities. In addition, you are not only helping some children with secured better future, not just for them, but for Saigon and Vietnam. By working with and investing in the most vulnerable group in society, we hope to unleash, maximize their potentials to country's next leaders.
