Hello all,
Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you for all the donations to date! We've passed €25k !! However, that's not going to stop us from reaching for our next milestone of €40k. Can we do it before the year is out ??
Over the last few months there has been a lot of events happening within the rescue and across the world.
We continue to take in more dogs. Between foster care & our centre we've over 35 dogs waiting to be rehomed. That doesn't stop there because we get calls from the pound daily and have a surrender list in excess of 10 dogs waiting to come in.
As life is coming back to a somewhat pre covid level, we are seeing a dip in volunteers due to personal reasons as expected. We continue to try recruit new volunteers as often as possible to support the many tasks we undertake on a daily/weekly basis. If you’re interested get in touch.
You may have heard, through our social media platforms, that Andy the founder of Husky Rescue Ireland along with Darran one of our trustee's recently went on their second trip to the Ukraine. This time they brought baby supplies to Hospitals and animal aid to multiple animal shelters in desperate need of help. No matter the cause Husky Rescue Ireland will always try to help out. Our first trip saw three tonne of animal and human aid going over followed by 7 tonne in a container, all donations from you the public. We continue to send over whatever supplies we can on top of rescuing dogs from Ukraine and transporting them to Poland.
It just doesn't stop, so if you have made it this far in the email, thank you. Thank you for your support, your generosity, for sharing our posts, for your donations, simply thank you.
If you can donate the cost of a coffee this month then please do. You don't realise how far that will go when it comes to rescue.
As the evenings get shorter and the days longer, make sure to get out in the fresh air, and maybe just maybe if you want a companion to go on walks with, Get in touch with us.
Until our next update, remember adopt don't shop and enjoy the little things in life.
