For generations, the Hispanic community has embodied a fearless spirit, by staying true to the belief that nothing great ever happens without taking a chance. Founded on the ideas that continue to inspire our community, LULAC has decided to turn your beliefs into a reality. No matter how big or small the vision may be, we believe it’s “A Shot Worth Taking.”
LULAC has had a long history of taking chances in order to challenge the status quo and create opportunities for the Hispanic community. As LULAC celebrates its 91st anniversary, it seems only natural to team up for A Fair Shot™ in creating a special opportunity to celebrate diversity, push boundaries, and inspire nuestra gente to break traditions.
In supporting immigrant communities and essential workers during this time, LULAC will be extending resources for those seeking better opportunities. A Fair Shot aims to empower aspiring immigrants to a path towards citizenship to create better opportunities for themselves and their families.
Coming to LULAC 2021
LULAC’s motivated grassroots base will implement A Fair Shot programming in emerging Latino communities for Legal Permanent Residents (LPR) through outreach/awareness campaigns, History, civics, and ESL classes; Interview preparation, and N-400 filing assistance.
In recent months, the LULAC team has revamped and updated the Ayuda En Espanol toolkit which provides resources in Spanish for those looking for support during the pandemic.
