In recent months Water Survival Box has responded to disasters in 3 separate areas. This has required a significant amount of stock to be purchased and now we need to replace it with your help
Philippines
200 Water Survival Boxes arrived in Manila on May 3 for victims of Typhoon Odette/Rai. These are being distributed by ADRA a US Aid agency.
South Africa
Following extensive flooding where over 40,000 homes were destroyed or badly damaged we have responded by offering 400 of our boxes to local Rotary clubs for distribution to the most needy. These will leave our depot on May 23
Ukraine
We have made several contributions to the aid effort.
In April we sent over £20000 of aid requested by Rotarians in Lviv, Ukraine. This included toothpaste and toothbrushes as well as 600 solar lamps
We have committed to sending 300 Grifaid water filters each capable of making potable up to 200000 litres of unsafe water. In addition we have linked with another Rotary based charity Aquabox to send a further 300 filters
Finally we are discussing with International Medical Corps Inc. ways of getting 200 of our boxes in to Ukraine or Moldova to support internally displaced persons or refugees.
Your support is really needed to ensure we can continue to support these and other disasters
