When we set out to raise money for Afghan refugees, our goal was to provide urgent support to locally-led organizations helping people and families across Afghanistan, assist in resettlement and advocacy for Afghan refugees arriving in the United States and other countries around the world, and meet other emerging needs during the rapidly changing situation.
With the funding you provided, Carry the Future was able to fund 2 months of a food drop supporting people in a small village near Kabul, providing oil, lentils, and flour for 93 families.
We also funded diapers and strollers for Afghan arrivals through a partner in Phoenix, AZ.
Carry the Future is continually amazed at the support from the GlobalGiving Community. With your help, we were able to ensure families had something to eat after being forced from their homes, and that babies were able to travel as safely and comfortably as possible. That is our mission, and with your help, it is a reality.
