With the tragic events currently taking place in Afghanistan, Carry the Future has stepped in to assist newly resettled Afghan families in the United States. This project will help families feel welcome and supported with essentials like clean diapers, baby beds, strollers, hygiene items, and more. During the week of September 13-17, donations up to $50 will be matched by 50%.
Over the last month, over 24,000 Afghans have arrived in the United States. Many of these individuals have arrived with limited supplies or personal items. These individuals and families have left their homes, careers, family members, and familiar daily life.
To support these families, Carry the Future hopes to raise $5,000 to provide essentials for these families making the transition to the United States. These essentials include things like clean diapers, baby beds, strollers, hygiene items, and more.
We believe a child's safety and future always comes first and that access to diapers and essential hygiene supplies is critical for the long-term health and well-being of refugee communities. We provide essentials to alleviate one major stressor from families' lives, and to provide a safer, healthier community for babies, their siblings and parents. In the long-term, Carry the Future and our donors hope to ease the burden of refugee families' journeys to safety and security in a tangible way.
