Manoj is 10 and he's a survivor of two Nepal earthquakes. Manoj lives with his family in Shikharpur, in Sindhuplachok district. Manoj's home was destroyed in the earthquakes and his family are now living in a makeshift house made from tin and tarps. But these materials provide little protection from the weather and it's freezing in Sinhupalchok during the winter. With your help, we'll provide warm blankets to keep Manoj healthy and happy.
in 2015 Nepal was devastated by two earthquakes in less than three weeks. Almost 900,000 homes were destroyed or damaged by the earthquakes and hundreds of thousands of families, including Manoj's, are still sleeping in makeshift homes built from whatever they can salvage. But the winter weather means that Manoj is always cold. This adds to Manoj's suffering and puts his health in danger. If the weather gets really bad, Manoj could literally freeze!
Your donations will provide warm blankets for Manoj, his family, and other families like theirs. Specifically this project will provide warm blankets for around twenty families, including Manoj's in Shikharpur VDC, in Sindhupalchok district.
Your donations will give Manoj the means to keep warm and comfortable this winter, and during the winters to come. By providing good quality, durable blankets, you will help keep Manoj healthy in the long-term and also remind him that someone still cares.
