Jenisha is 9 and she's a survivor of two Nepal earthquakes. Jenisha lives with her family in Shikharpur in Sindhupalchok district. Jenisha's home was destroyed in the earthquakes and her family are now living in a temporary house made from tin and tarps. But these materials provide little protection from the weather and it's freezing in Shikharpur during the winter. With your help, we'll provide warm blankets to keep Jenisha healthy and happy.
in 2015 Nepal was devastated by two earthquakes in less than three weeks. Almost 900,000 homes were destroyed or damaged by the earthquakes and hundreds of thousands of families, including Jenisha's, are still sleeping in makeshift homes built from whatever they can salvage. But the winter weather means that Jenisha is always cold. This adds to Jenisha's suffering and puts her health in danger. If the weather gets really bad, Jenisha could literally freeze!
Your donations will provide warm blankets for Jenisha, her family, and other families like theirs. Specifically this project will provide warm blankets for around twenty families, including Jenisha's in Shikharpur VDC, in Sindhupalchok district.
Your donations will give Jenisha the means to keep warm and comfortable this winter, and during the winters to come. By providing good quality, durable blankets, you'll help keep Jenisha healthy in the long-term and also remind her that someone still cares.
