This project will help us rent permanent space for our Dream of Art School, and provide employment for one art teacher for one year. Last year the directors of Rock-Paper-Scissors Children's Fund volunteered and provided weekly art classes to 250 underprivileged Vietnamese youth. With your help, we can continue this program year round for the students, as well as provide additional opportunities for the most underprivileged, talented, young Vietnamese artists.
Our art school needs a permanent space to hold classes, as well as tables and chairs. We also need to hire a local teacher to keep the art school open year-round.
With a permanent classroom our kids will be able to work at tables to paint, draw, and create together. Underprivileged youth who are passionate about art, often do not have the opportunity to be educated in the arts outside of school. This project will provide a place for the students to come, take classes, and express themselves in a stress-free environment.
By providing students an avenue for self-expression, we hope to offer them temporary relief from their rigorous school schedules and difficult life situations. This project will offer the students the means in which they can express themselves, while building life-long skills and relationships.
