We will provide direct assistance to 400 socially vulnerable women and their families, allowing them to remain safe, with the necessary resources, thus preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Under normal conditions, these women only had the minimum income to survive. With the new health measures implemented, they have been left without an income to get by during the crisis, putting them at high risk. Help us contain the virus and safeguard their lives!
We have currently contacted 300 women graduates of our CAPTA job training program, who were working in restaurants and hotels and have become unemployed due to the closure of many businesses. Currently in Panama we are in a state of emergency with absolute quarantine. Women are only allowed to go out certain hours and days of the week, which prevents them from working. With this project we want to support them so that they can stay at home with the resources they need to survive.
By providing them direct assistance, women will not have to leave their homes to find some kind of sustenance. This will reduce the spread of the virus and maintain community safety.
We will have a direct long-term impact on the well-being of an entire community, helping to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and promoting safety. By assisting these women and helping them maintain their health, we can ensure that once the crisis is over, they can return to work.
