In view of the heavy rains & flooding we plan to carry out support operations in 56 villages of Radhanpur through the following activities: Transportation of food, clothes & utilities gathered from local donors to the needy village people, Provide first-aid medicines for the flood-affected victims especially women & children, Provide supplementary nutrition for the flood-affected victims especially women & children Provide awareness related to maintaining hygiene of their surroundings
Radhanpur constitutes of a population of about 40,000 people of which 19,150 are women. The area is prone to extreme weather conditions - drought and flooding. There is high level of poverty with literacy rate of 65.34% (Lower than state and national averages). Radhanpur faces a range of social issues and constraints. The severe monsoon has taken a toll on the condition of people especially women and children. AWAG plans to carry out support relief operations in 56 villages of the area.

2500 women or girls will better informed about healthcare and hygiene. 2500 women or girls will access to affordable sanitary towels. Improved health of women due to above. Improvement in school attendance for girls. Awareness of health and sanitation practices will be transferred to daughters and granddaughters and all generations for the future. Youth leaders will generate income from sales of sanitary pads and other hygiene related products
