YouMeWe is focused on children in the institutions in a country which has less children under the age of 15 per capital in the world. Empower Village is for aged out youth. We will be using the proceeds of this fundraiser to sponsor the showing of the documentary to a widespread audience to raise awareness of the Plight of Single Mothers in Japan and what one can do to help.
This documentary depicts the theme of "hidden poverty" that has occurred in-spite of Japan's rapid economic growth in such a short period of time immediately following World War II. The film covers the suffering and hardships of single mothers, which has never been depicted before, from various angles, and unravels the causes of the unequal social background that people are unaware of. What is the cause of more than 50% of single-parent families in Japan being in poverty?
We plan to fund the showing of this documentary and continue to raise awareness on the plights of the women in the film as well as the general public. With more awareness around the challenges of mothers in a country which has less children under the age of 15 years old per capita in the world, we can hopefully pinpoint the areas where help is required, necessary and alluding them. The population in Japan will half from 127mm people to 60mm by the year 2100.
Connecting women with the internet so they can be a viable part of the information society and instead of working 5 jobs all over the city to make ends meet, they can using technology to raise their children, making a substantial living and provide the structure and foundation that the children need.
