We have been able to raise about 7% of the target set for fund raising. The School has procured one kit of "Sparkfun Inventor's Kit" and some Solar Lamp assembly kits. The students of eight, ninth and tenth class have attended two workshops aimed at teaching the electronics related to the Solar Lamp and its assembly. The kit has LED lights and has a rechargeable battery. The battery gets recharged using a portable Solar Panel.
The initial assembly exposes the student in assembly of the kits at large and involves some minor soldering of cables. Once the kits are assembled, they would be used by the students of the School during Power blackouts.
