Last month we were able to help Suri and her mom Ashley escape abuse in Japan. As with most battered American women that flee home, they have nothing when they arrive. Ashley has housing and has a job secured but needs daycare and some funds for transportation for the first month while she gets back on her feet.
Suri and her mom Ashley have come a long way since they escaped abuse. We were able to provide them with danger to safety relocation back home to the USA from Japan and secure housing for them. Ashley found a job but needs funds for the first month for transportation in the form of bus tickets and daycare for Suri.
Ashley is determined to start a new life free of abuse with Suri at home in the USA. Bus tickets and daycare for Suri for one month will enable Ashley to become financially self-sufficient and free of abuse.
The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
