This project will support families in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. ChildAid will deliver food packages, hygiene products, medicine, firewood and support for struggling families and children. Hope will be restored.
Families are struggling to make ends meet. Sometimes they face decisions between paying for heating or food. Many children are malnourished and need healthy, nutritious food to develop both physically and mentally. There are children who don't go to school because they don't have clothes to wear. Parents often abandon their children due to extreme poverty or their children are taken to care. Families often live in unsafe and dangerous houses.
Help families during the harsh winter with food packages, firewood to keep warm, clothes and anything needed to help them survive during the winter months. Our teams will also provide advice and support to families. When required, we will help repair unsafe houses and provide the basics like access to clean water.
Children, young people and families will receive care, support to help them rebuild their lives. Through practical help, families will be able to stand on their feet. Hope will be restored, families will stay together and children will have a chance to a better future.

Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Hope, Opportunity for 2,500 kids in Eastern Europe. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
