Summary

This project will support children and youths who are fighting with their past. They have got significant opportunity to perform in the international arena through Taekwondo arts. They are selected for 8th World Taekwondo Cultural Expo Competition in Muju, South Korea, from July 4-7, 2014. We can easily presume how this international level of competition exposure will inspire the lives of these children who have been the victims of different violence. Your small effort will go a long way.

Challenge

For the past 5 years, RN has been providing home to children victims of different types of violence (rape, orphans, conflict victims of civil war, victims forceful prostitution and at risk). Currently there are 32 children in RN's home, whose entire responsibility of basic necessities like food, clothing, and schooling including sports is being taken care of with financial support from its national and international patrons. This project will milestone to all those children who are watching us.

Solution

Through these sports they will demonstrate their personality in front of all the players at the international level competition by proudly waving Star and Sun studded Nepali flag. To transform the dreams of these children into reality, all our efforts and support is essential. RN has been trying its best to support them in their overall development looking for opportunities, but you all are also aware that this challenge is impossible to overcome by RN alone.

Long-Term Impact

Once the mothers become capable of bearing all the responsibility of their children, with a respectable alternative professions, they will be handed over to their family so that they are united with the family. Moreover, there is less chance of these children, following their mother's profession of prostitution, or falling into wrong company.
