We are seeking support to cover the cost of an international airfare for participation in a seminar in Thailand focused on Human Responses to Climate Change. We have received an official invitation from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), which includes full coverage of accommodation, meals, and seminar-related expenses in Thailand. However, the international flight from Panama to Thailand is not included in the support package.
This project addresses the lack of local capacity to respond effectively to climate change in vulnerable communities in Panama. By attending a seminar in Thailand, the participant will gain global knowledge on community-based climate solutions. The experience will be used to strengthen local programs on environmental education and resilience. It promotes South-South collaboration and practical knowledge transfer. The goal is to turn global insights into local impact.
This microproject will provide access to global climate adaptation strategies through direct participation in an international seminar. The knowledge gained will be applied to enhance local projects in Panama focused on youth education, sustainable development, and community resilience. Workshops and training sessions will be organized to share best practices. It will empower local leaders with tools for action.
By building their capacity, these organizations can execute more effective and sustainable community development projects, leading to long-term positive impacts such as increased self-reliance, amplified social impact, and the cultivation of collaborative networks. Through this approach, INNOBUC seeks to foster lasting change, empower local communities.
