Our Ukrainian friends from "EIS" vocal group will join Little Explorer's Summer Camp. Knowing how much support we provide to refugees from Ukraine, they offered that they would like to visit us and work with children with disabilities during the summer camp, as volunteers. They did a great job in this role last year. They helped conduct classes and take care of children with intellectual disabilities. They want support our charges, spread the love and goodness.
Every year we prepare summer camps for children with physical and intellectual disabilities which we organize annually. Children come to us from all over Poland. Recently, children from Ukraine have also joined. As a result of our support for refugees with disabilities and their families, since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, we have established various, valuable contacts with Ukraine. One of such contacts resulted in friendship with a girls musical group.
This year, the girls want to come and help children with disabilities at the Little Explorer's Summer Camp.. They want to show gratitude for what we do and at the same time spread the goodness. In order to host them and include them as volunteers, we need funds to pay for their travel, accommodation, meals and to organize this wonderful, joint holiday adventure.(transport ~ 2.500 $; accomodation and meals ~ 9.500 $; holidays activities or trips ~ 3.000 $).
On the last summer camp the girls established a wonderful band with the children. Even with Wiktor, who cannot hear or speak. Despite his disability, Wiktor was fascinated by the girls, played background music for them from his phone and moved with them to the rhythm of the music, even though he couldn't hear it. This is just one of the stories that happened during the Little Explorers' summer camp. We believe that many more will be created this year.
