Raising A Reader will be delivering STEM programming to pre-K and Kindergarten children in local low-income schools. With your support we will be able to bring STEM book sets to 100 children and families who need it most.
Educators who have already received the program from GlogalGiving donors have said, “Our kids are better off because of the work that Raising A Reader does. We are trying to do a great deal with STEM in our county, and we have even built a makerspace at our county office of education.”
By introducing STEM concepts – science, technology, engineering and math – at this early stage in each child’s development we can truly combat disadvantages in these fields. We will also introduce families – parents, caregivers and even siblings, cousins and extended family – to the importance of sharing in their child’s learning through reading together.
RAR looks forward to keeping you up to date on the successes of the program!
Raising A Reader’s little red book bag has helped more than one million families develop, practice, and maintain the habit of sharing books. Thank you for all that you do to support child literacy through Raising A Reader!
You truly are changing the lives of children and families in need.
Yours in book sharing,
The Raising A Reader Team
