Have you ever walked to your mailbox barefoot and stepped on a rock? Can you imagine walking barefoot 2-3 miles both ways every single day to school? That is what many students in Kamawornie have to do in order to go to school. This project will raise funds to provide shoes for children in Kamawornie.
Many families in Kamawornie, a remote village in northern Sierra Leone, live in extreme poverty. Items like shoes are just not something families can afford. However, shoes are greatly needed because these students have to walk miles to get to school and miles after school to get home.
This project will raise money to provide children in Kamarwornie with shoes.
The project is an effective long-term investment as it provides quality educational opportunities for children and youths. This is helping them to rise above poverty, become independent and better decision-makers. They are then better capable of making a significant contribution to their families, communities, nation, and the world at large. Education reduces poverty.
