Thanks for giving John shelter from the storm

Thanks so much for supporting evacuees like John.

Seven year old John lives with his parents, two sisters and brother in Banaba, just outside Manila. John’s house is poorly constructed and is dangerously close to a river. Every year there are typhoons and floods, and John’s house is often inundated, including during the last few weeks.

John needs his nearest evacuation center to be properly equipped so that his family has somewhere safe to shelter when disaster strikes. And now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to install more private family cubicles in John’s evacuation center.

We recently installed cubicles and fans on the first floor of the building but the center will eventually house over 40 families during storms, and your generosity gives us the means to make even more progress. Thank you so much.

We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of John, his family, and families like theirs right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!

One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that John will have shelter from the storm.
