Thanks for giving Felisa shelter from the storm

Thanks so much for supporting evacuees like Felisa.

Sixty-eight year old Felisa is a widow. She lives with her daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren in Banaba, just outside Manila. Felisa’s house is poorly constructed and is dangerously close to a river. Every year there are typhoons and floods, and Felisa’s house is often overwhelmed by the water, including just a few weeks ago.

Felisa needs her nearest evacuation center to be properly equipped so that her family has somewhere safe to shelter when disaster strikes.

And now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to install seven private family cubicles in Felisa’s evacuation center. The building will eventually house over 40 families during storms, and providing cubicles for everyone will take time, but your generosity gives us the means to make progress one cubicle and family at a time. Thank you so much.

We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Felisa, her family, and families like theirs right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!

One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that Felisa will have shelter from the storm.
