It was a day to remember the children lined up to receive their Christmas gifts of candy and warm blankets to keep them cozy during the long, cold Kenyan nights. They ate a wonderful and special meal to celebrate the last day at the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center before the short Christmas break. Their parents lined up to receive huge amounts of food for their family's Christmas feast. Live chickens, cabbages, carrots, rice, maize and flour were distributed and everyone was joyous. They were singing and dancing through the streets of the slums and calling out blessing to you all as they brought their wonderful presents home to their meagre shacks. Yes, another Christmas with all that they needed to celebrate. If only this was "normal" in the Kenyan slums... But it isn't. Having enough to eat is a luxury amongst the poor - and having all that they need for a Christmas feast is practically a Christmas miracle. But you, dear donors, once again made a difference in the lives of these wonderful people. You not only gave them food for their hunger, blankets for warmth - you gave them all hope for the future - a brighter future.
Thank you so much for caring and sharing your blessings. May you be blessed a hundredfold for every smile that you put on the faces of these children and their parents.
Have a wonderful, successful and healthy 2018
