This project will significantly change lives in Soshanguve, which is why I am writing to you on behalf of Lestemacomserve, a dedicated non-profit organisation operating within the heart of Soshanguve. Our primary mission is to uplift, support, and provide a safe environment for vulnerable members of our local community.Through hard work and local contributions, we managed to construct a brand-new community infrastructure center in 2025. This facility is built to safely accommodate 100 people
Sensitizing youth aged 13 to 27 in Soshanguve about the dangers of substance abuse fundamentally shifts their risk perception, driving a critical transition from vulnerability to informed resilience. At the younger end of this spectrum, early intervention disrupts the initiation of drug use during pivotal developmental years, while for older youth, it provides actionable strategies to break cycles of abuse, resist intense peer pressure, and seek gainful employment or education.
if we provide a safe space, more kids will be able to attend to our workshops
The project will motivate 200 children and youth to come attend their sessions on Saturdays and also to do their school work everyday after school. 200 Children will be sensitized about the the danger of drugs and alcohol. Many community members will benefit from Drugs and awareness that will be brought to the center since we also host awareness to the community
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
