In rural communities of Santiago del Estero, Argentina, many children begin the school year without the most basic tools to learn. No notebooks, no pencils, no materials to participate in class. This microproject will provide complete school supply kits so students can start school prepared, confident, and motivated. Something as simple as a new notebook and pencils can spark excitement for learning, strengthen their commitment to school, and remind them that someone believes in their future.
Many children in rural Argentina start school without notebooks, pencils, or basic materials because their families cannot afford them. Without these tools, learning becomes harder and motivation fades. This project ensures that poverty does not stand between a child and their education.
This microproject will provide complete school supply kits to children in rural schools, giving them the basic tools they need to learn. With notebooks, pencils, and materials of their own, students can start the school year prepared, motivated, and ready to participate in class.
Fundacion San Genaro has been developing this project since 2011, helping more than 45 rural communities, over 3000 rural children and 500 families, improving not only access to basic services but also providing the tools to improve the educational offer and quality of the rural schools in Santiago del Estero.
