Bupana is eight and she's a survivor of two Nepal earthquakes. Bupana lives with her mother and brothers in Bhaktapur. Bupana's school was badly damaged in the first earthquake and Bupana lost all of her school supplies and books. This means she's struggling to learn. Bupana wants to be a teacher when she's older, but if she can't receive a quality education her dreams will be lost. With your help, we'll provide Bupana with school supplies and give her back the education she deserves.
in 2015 Nepal was devastated by two earthquakes in less than three weeks. Over 36,000 classrooms were destroyed or heavily damaged by the earthquakes and hundreds of thousands of kids, including Bupana, also lost school supplies and books. This is causing further harm to Bupana by denying her an effective education. This threatens her future by locking her into a cycle of poverty.
Your donations will be used to provide school supplies for children including Bupana. Specifically this project will $10 of school supplies for 35 kids, including Bupana, in Bhaktapur. These school supplies will allow Bupana and her classmates to receive an effective education and the learn the skills they need to build a brighter future.
Your donations will give kids including Bupana an effective education and help them escape poverty when they're older. Bhaktapur is not far from Kathmandu but its more rural location means that kids like Bupana are poorer, and more neglected, than those in the capital. By allowing us to provide school supplies for them, you'll ensure these kids not only recover from the earthquakes, but also build stronger futures in the long-term.
