Unfortunately this microproject was retired without raising any donations. But happily, we were able to find other sources of funding to provide school furniture for Bigyan.
Bigyan lives with his family in Sindhupalchok district, and his school was badly damaged in the first earthquake.
Because of the damage to the school Bigyan and his classmates also lost all their school furniture. So they were being forced to study on the floor and struggled to write down their lessons. This was further damaging Bigyan’s future by denying him a quality education.
But now because of our work, Bigyan and his classmates are able to sit and study in comfort. This will allow them to more effectively learn the skills they need to build bright futures, and to escape poverty for good.
