By Michelle Potter | Project Leader
The idea for our Giving Tuesday fundraiser was conceived after artist SuzannK had a chance meeting with Michelle at a London station, when she offered to help carry Michelle's luggage. Following a chat with Michelle about the work of SAYes, she offered to donate a piece of artwork for SAYes to raffle. Gillian and Michelle chose 'Lovelocks City View Paris, France' as they felt it represented the worldwide supporters and friends of SAYes. We’re still in awe of Suzann’s generosity and for thinking of us.
We were delighted to exceed our fundraising target within a week of its launch. And overwhelmed to receive so many generous donations especially during what is a difficult financial period for many.
The money raised is part of our GlobalGiving parent project 'Support our Mentors and Mentees' so will continue to support training for mentors and provide cellphones/data for mentees.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and inspiring the new leaders of social change.
