Due to shortage of rainfall, the entire Marathwada region of Maharashtra and Sastur is currently facing drought. Inspite of this shortage of water, SPARSH was able to sustain its services, through the generous support and contribution through the GG platform.
With the received support, 3,40,000 ltrs of water has been utilized for SPARSH and the Mobile Medical Units thus enabling the hospital in continuing its services in providing quality medical treatment to 42708 patients in the last four months.
In addition, the supply of water to the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) was one of the reasons of making the visits to the extreme rural interiors possible because of which the MMU was able to provide effective medical treatment and health awareness through the medical camps.
The contributions received is beneficial in providing ongoing support in continuing the quality medical service through this drought period, as the region has still not received sufficient rainfall.
PRIDE India immensely thanks the well-wishers and the supporters for their generous contribution as it will help the Hospital and the MMU to sustain further for a longer duration.
