SPARSH, a 40 bedded rural hospital, a public private partnership initiative of PRIDE India is located in interior village Sastur in Osmanabad district, Maharashtra. Today this hospital and its Mobile Medical units touches the lives of over 150,000 rural patients annually. SPARSH is facing serious water crisis due to severe drought in the Marathwada region. There is drought situation in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra in India and Sastur where our SPARSH hospital is also seriously affected by the same. The hospital is facing serious water crisis as the existing bore wells in the campus are not able to suffice the water needs of the hospital now.
The hospital and the mobile medical units have a huge influx of patients everyday. Around 450 patients approach through outpatient department every day along with 40 indoor patients who receive the health services daily. Support from individuals and companies towards cost of the tankers will help in providing quality services to the patients who visit the hospital and our mobile medical units during this drought situation
