Dear friends,
thank you so much for supporting Ukrainian kids with cancer in these hard Covid-19 times.
In the picture, you can see little Kira and her mom. The girl could stay in Kyiv at the Center Dacha and receive chemotherapy during the quarantine in Ukraine thanks to your support.
We can help kids like Kira protecting them from the infection and from the consequences of the pandemic because we have the Covid-19 Emergency Fund created with your donations.
We are constantly providing the hospitals with additional protective equipment and disinfectants to ensure that the doctors and the children had everything to stay safe during treatment.
We regularly purchase drugs for kids to continue receiving treatment as the quarantine caused the crisis of chemotherapy and other medication provision from the state procurement.
We pay for the fast coronavirus tests of those families who cannot afford it. There is a requirement for kids and their accompanying persons to have a coronavirus test results before every hospitalization. However, the test results from the public hospitals may arrive after two weeks or even more and the child cannot wait for it without receiving the next planned chemo. In private hospitals, the results arrive in a few hours.
We are present in the hospitals every day and we respond to all the kids’ needs that emerge as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. We need your help to save children together!
