Thanks for donating to our project over summer.
We were able to work with 202 elderly men and women, many of whom sadly lost a companion over the spring months.
This summer they've been meeting with young professionals, teenagers, we had a baking day, recipie swap, Birthday parties, Windrush poetry event and even an IT class.
Your support enabled us to support a worker to organise the events and bring the groups together in a safe and organised way, providing them with a nice hot meal and training for the young people. We also got both groups eating more vegetables!
The older people said that they wanted to meet the young people more becasue they found them paitient and helpful. The young people said they had a new understanding of what it means to be old. So thanks for your support!
