1 in 4children in the UK start school every morning hungry and the hot meal they receive at school is the only meal they get to eat each day.
Without the hot meal they'd spend the entire day hungry stunting brain activity, growth and leaving them suseptable to life long illness. This is what happens each holiday time for many children and young people.
And so we're so pleased to be spearheading this new project addressing holiday hunger.
This month we are so pleased to have partnering with a Super headmaster and his two schools in South London. We'll be providing breakfast and lunch to the school kids going hungry over the summer months, training and educating their parents in cheap, healthy and quick meals and food they can prepare to keep kids full of energy without breaking their budgets. We'll be putting on activities and cooking classes for the kids over this time, utlising parents skills and training them to take over and lead some of the classes.
So it's even more important that we reach our funding goal so we can ensure this project goes ahead.With full support we'll be able to support 200 children and their families over summer. So please share with your families and friends and ask them to donate, as your support will mean the difference to so many.
