After another lockdown, the most vulnerable Londoners, such as the elderly, disabled and those in low/no income households, are at an increased risk of food insecurity. We are once again providing weekly community meals to meet the increased need for hot food and fruit and veg parcels. We plan to deliver these essential items to those in our community who need it most.
With rising unemployment and the impacts of lockdowns, many at risk Londoners may struggle to access or afford healthy fruit and veg. Our community meals projects feed up to 250 vulnerable people per week, providing hot food and fruit and veg parcel deliveries.
With your help we can purchase the essential supplies to help us reach the most vulnerable groups within our community, including the elderly, those with chronic illnesses, and those with disabilities. This includes recruiting volunteers to cook and deliver food, purchase the necessary supplies, as well as any additional food that we might need to meet extra demand.
We hope to continue, and potentially expand, our operations to ensure that those who are at the highest risk in our community can continue to access healthy hot meals.
