Current Progress of Quero Na Escola

By Cinthia Rodrigues (Edited by Dee Wu) | Project Initiator

The First Year of Quero Na Escola
The First Year of Quero Na Escola

Quero na Escola is a website that gives voices to students in Brazilian public schools. It also encourages the public to have a more active role in improving the country’s educational system. The students can voice their opinions regarding what he or she wants to learn that is not currently a part of the mandatory curriculum. These information are then published online and shared on social media, reaching members of the society who want to volunteer to teach the desired subjects. Finally, our team contacts the school administration and organizes the classes, which are offered to students from other schools tool. In 2016, our website has reached 2,500 students so far.

Thank you so much to the fellow donors who have made our progress possible. After our first year, the website had received demands from 60 cities of Brazil and now we are looking for a way to meet the demands in 2017.
