Thank you very much for your recent donations towards provide sewing skills to 40 girls in Uganda, this project is doing well, GlobalGiving will retire this project in the next four (4)days,in most times projects are retired before they are fully funded, that will mean that over 20 girls will not be able to benefit from this very important life changing project, the girls will either have to marry at an early age or work as house maids for a little pay as an option, this project now wants to raise the remaining $1,500 to enable more 20 vulnerable girls learn to sew so that they start their own sewing businesses. In the remaining four days, you may consider donating again, refer a friend or family member to the project page or launch a fundraiser, a girl lost is a future lost.
Here is a success story of one of the girls we helped:
Sarah always dreamed of being a teacher, but when her father died she thought there was no hope for her. Five years ago, Sarah moved into our children’s home and we immediately enrolled her in school to pursue a diploma in Nursery teaching education. She completed her course in just two years, and now she is teaching in one of the best schools in Kampala city. Since then, she has been able to help her siblings as well as sponsor herself for further studies in education.
Sarah is just one example of what is possible when children are able to follow their dreams. Some times children need someone to help them through school. With your support, you can help more children become like Sarah, and reach places that they never thought were possible.
